‘Explore 2020’, an immersive 3D experience created by Accenture and Etisalat Digital, allows users to discover Expo 2020 Dubai’s cutting-edge site two years ahead of time

Technological time travel has been made possible through ‘Explore 2020’, an immersive 3D journey of the Expo 2020 Dubai site two years before it opens.

The flight into the future has been developed by Accenture and Etisalat Digital, Expo’s Digital Services Premier Partners, and was unveiled at GITEX Technology Week in October.

Explore 2020 uses virtual reality simulators to allow the user to navigate the Expo 2020 site as it will look from 20 October, 2020 – the day the UAE starts to welcome millions of people from around the world for a six-month festival of human ingenuity and innovation.

World Expos have also been synonymous with innovation but this is the first time visitors have been able to see what is in store ahead of time.

Mohammed Alhashmi, Senior Vice President – Innovation and Future Technology at Expo 2020 Dubai, said:“In 2020, millions of visitors will enjoy an incredible journey around the Expo site, which will be one of the smartest, fastest and best-connected places on the planet. I’m delighted that visitors can have a special preview of this experience, thanks to Accenture and Etisalat Digital.”

‘Explore 2020’ was unveiled in the week leading up to Expo 2020’s Two Years To Go milestone and will be made available to the public on various other occasions in the near future.
