Bags and suitcases holding the deep affection and commitment of the lecturers

In recent years, the government and civil society have poured in human and financial resources to improve education in the poverty-stricken counties of Gansu. Lecturers of WEM have also brought exciting classes to the kids in Gangu County, Tianshui City, Gansu Province, together with heavy bags and affection. Gangu County is in the high and remote mountains, 1,800 kilometers away from Shanghai.

  Gifts from WEM

Since the start of this new semester, lecturers of WEM have begun to prepare for this trip and the museum has raised a wealth of useful goods for the kids. Before team landed, these goods bearing the museum's affection had arrived in Gangu.

Going to school with the lovely kids

The books, sport goods and art materials will create an enjoyable and enlightening childhood for them. Seeing the smiles on their faces, the lecturers felt really warm in their heart.

Entering the campus, the lecturers received an unexpected welcome. The kids were amazed when they saw the teachers who had given classes on the screen. Between classes, they played childhood games with the teachers: throwing sandbags, kicking shuttlecock and jumping rope.

Teacher Xiaomei had already given lessons to them online.

This time, Teacher Xiaomei appeared before them in person! Here is a gift for you!

Both online education and traditional education have irreplaceable advantages. Diversified education approaches are necessary to enable remote and rural schools to expose their kids to the outside world. In the current information age, online education allows more rural kids to understand the world and explore the unknown world. The kids there would gain more confidence in this way, while seeds of dream are planted in their heart. Thanks go to Childhood Lesson for making this trip possible!
