Mr. Simon is at the ideal sightseeing platform of the WEM – Cloud Hall

After the visit to eight permanent exhibition halls, Mr. Simon got to the top point of the WEM – the Cloud Hall made of more than 3,000 pieces of glass and steel structure, where is also an ideal sightseeing platform at the WEM. When he was looking over the views at the two banks of the Huangpu River, he felt emotional and inscribed the following:

What a pleasure to come from London where the first Expo was held to Shanghai where this World Expo Museum has been created: a real history trip.

Thank you Shanghai, Thank you Expo!

Message left by Mr. Simon for the WEM

It is reported that Mr. Simon, invited by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, came to Shanghai to present 2017 WorldSkills Competition and WorldSkills Seminar. The WorldSkills Competition represents the highest level of the world vocational skills, and it is billed as the” Olympics of Skills”. In October 2016, China formally announced to bid for the 46th WorldSkills Competition in 2021, and decided to take Shanghai as the host city.

In order to make all-out efforts to prepare for the 44th WorldSkills Competition to be held in Abu Dhabi of the United Arab Emirates in October this year and cooperate with China’s bid for hosting the 46th WorldSkills Competition, approved by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, 2017 China WorldSkills Competition will be held from June 6 to 9. The Competition is sponsored by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, Shanghai Municipal People's Government, and the People’s Government of Jiangsu Province.
