On 10 December, the tickets to the International Specialized Exhibition EXPO-2017 started in Astana, which is exactly six months before this event. The official ceremony of ticket sales start was held in the shopping and entertainment centers of the capital – Keruen and Khan Shatyr, and in the shopping centers of Almaty –MEGA Park and MEGA Center Almaty. By the way, the online ticket sales via the exhibition website started on 10 June this year, which is exactly one year before the event.

Now, visitors can buy tickets not only through the official exhibition website, but also directly from ticket offices. The price of a fixed date ticket to the exhibition is 4000 KZT for a weekday and 6000 KZT for a weekend. The price of open date tickets will be 2000 KZT higher. Students, schoolchildren, mothers with many children and other privileged categories of Kazakhstani citizens can visit the EXPO-2017 with a 50% discount. Veterans of war, children under six years old, orphan children, disabled people of all categories can visit the Exhibition free of charge. The favorable conditions for these social groups will apply only during the period of the Exhibition.

The strategy of EXPO-2017 ticket sales consists of several stages. Thus, online ticket sales started on 10 June; EXPO ticket sales for tour operators started on 10 July; for resellers on 10 August; and ticket sales through sub-agencies started on 1 September. Now, the tickets can be purchased throughout the country – in Kazpost offices, shops and shopping centers Marwin / Meloman located in all the regions of Kazakhstan. Furthermore, now tickets are also sold in the official Exhibition ticket offices in Astana and Almaty. The ticket offices will start working in all the 14 regions of the country from 10 March.

Special gifts were prepared for the visitors of the opening ceremony of official offline sales. The opening ceremony of the upcoming Exhibition ticket offices was attended by the EXPO-2017 Ambassadors –Kazakhstani astronaut Aidyn Aimbetov and Olympic champion Alexander Vinokurov.

“I don’t know when I will visit the Exhibition exactly, so I bought an open date ticket for a weekend. I bought tickets for my parents and family – in total, 10 tickets. I think we will visit EXPO in June or July, when children in Europe have summer holidays. Our team, “AstanaTeam”, is an EXPO Ambassador. Therefore we will certainly come with the team too,” said A. Vinokurov.

Both in Astana and Almaty, the EXPO-2017 ticket office opening was attended by famous Kazakhstani actors and pop singers, who bought tickets, gave autographs, interviews.
