May 18 is the first5·18 International Museum Day. WE TALK Expo Forum officially took its first talk at the Cloud Hall, the highlight architecture of the World Expo Museum(WEM).
Hong Hao, Deputy Director of Standing Committee of Shanghai Municipal People’s Congress and Chairman of WEM Council, Dimitri, Deputy Secretary of BIE, and Liu Xiuhua, Director of World Expo Museum, presented the WE TALK Expo Forum.
May 18 is the first5·18 International Museum Day shortly after the opening of the WEM. The first talk of WE TALK Expo Forum titled “World Expo and Social Education” was taken at the Cloud Hall of the WEM.

Liu Xiuhua, Director of World Expo Museum, gave an overview of “WE TALK Expo Forum”. She expressed that the WEM would take “WE TALK Expo Forum” as the first cut-in point, gradually expand and improve social education services oriented to the public, especially young people, give full play to the resource superiority as an international museum and BIE’s official museum, open global vision, and strive to become a social class educating the public for life.
Mr. Dimitri, Deputy Secretary of BIE, gave a keynote speech, expounding the original intention and the significance to settle the WEM as an official institution in Shanghai. He pointed out that the ultimate purpose of the WEM is to promote education, serve diverse audience through communication, realize their common goal, and make future WEM a real convergence of innovation and progress.
Hong Hao, Deputy Director of Standing Committee of Shanghai Municipal People’s Congress and Chairman of WEM Council, shared his ideas about “Expo and Social Education” and future development of the WEM. He said, “WE will take the major platform of ‘WE TALK Expo Forum’ as an advantage, constantly deepen our understanding of social education, expand educational resources, and forge a powerful brand, in order to build the WEM a truly home of cultural integration for the public”
